Looking for quick high-protein food for a busy morning? With Granuu Strawberry Symphony, choose a shake if you have a blender, or a spoonable bowl if you prefer not to blend. The dry mix provides approximately 14.9 g protein per 60 g serving; the liquid and toppings change the nutrition of your finished breakfast.
Which method is quickest?
- Shake: blend 60 g Granuu with 350 ml milk or a plant drink for 90 seconds. Allow extra time to measure ingredients and clean the blender.
- Instant muesli: stir 60 g Granuu with 150 ml milk or yoghurt and let it stand for 3 to 5 minutes. A plant drink is an optional variation; adjust the texture to your preference.
- Overnight oats: mix 60 g with 350 ml liquid and refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Preparation happens ahead, not in 90 seconds.
These methods and timings come from the Haferwelt preparation guide (German version). The 90-second method uses a blender, not just a hand shaker. Keep prepared oats refrigerated when not eating them immediately; for work, see our office breakfast storage guide.
How much protein is in the finished meal?
The Strawberry Symphony nutrition declaration lists 24.9 g protein and 378 kcal per 100 g of dry mix. A 60 g serving therefore supplies about 14.9 g protein and 227 kcal before anything is added.
For a transparent worked example, the following estimates use a soya drink with 3.3 g protein and 33 kcal per 100 ml, as listed on Alpro's Swiss product page for its unsweetened soya drink. Check your local carton; these figures are not a claim about every soya drink. No toppings are included.
| Serving | Protein | Energy |
|---|---|---|
| 60 g dry mix only | About 14.9 g | About 227 kcal |
| 60 g mix + 150 ml specified soya drink | About 19.9 g | About 276 kcal |
| 60 g mix + 350 ml specified soya drink | About 26.5 g | About 342 kcal |
Calculation: multiply each per-100-g or per-100-ml label value by the amount used, then add the ingredients. Calculate from the per-100-g and per-100-ml values, and round only the final totals. These are label-based estimates, not laboratory tests of these recipes. Different flavours, liquids and toppings need a fresh calculation.
What does “high protein” mean?
The European Commission's nutrition-claims guidance sets the condition at at least 20% of a food's energy coming from protein. Using 4 kcal per gram of protein, the dry mix is approximately 26%; the two specified soya-drink examples are approximately 29% and 31%. The claim is not simply a fixed number of protein grams, and other ingredient combinations must be checked separately.
Quick questions
Can I make it vegan?
Granuu Strawberry Symphony is listed as vegan. Use a suitable plant drink and vegan toppings, and check all ingredients and allergens, including soya in the example above.
Is high-protein food automatically food for weight loss?
No. “High protein” is not a weight-loss guarantee or a low-calorie claim. Portion size, additions and your overall eating pattern matter. The NHS healthy-eating guide explains why both food choices and quantities count. If you have a medical condition, a medically prescribed diet or an eating-disorder history, seek qualified advice before making weight-loss changes. Granuu is not presented here as a medically formulated meal replacement.
